The aim of this website is to make public the secret teachings of Elijah Chacko.
To this end, I have access to newsletters and publications which if compiled would amount to over 10,000 sheets of closely-typed A4. Very few of these are in the public domain. But context is vital. Only those who are exceedingly diligent or have been long in the ministry of Elijah Chacko could make proper sense of the contents. Also, they contain personal details about individuals who are relative bystanders – individuals who do not merit public exposure. What is needed is a concise summary of Elijah Chacko’s chief heresies with opportunity given him to defend himself. This is exactly what the recent breaking away of the majority of the China churches under his ministry (in late 2018) provided. Whilst the indictments against Elijah Chacko could go back decades, this situation provides a providential case-study from the perspective of those within and those without. I am satisfied that a careful reading of these separation letters gives more than enough information for the reader to make their own conclusion about Elijah Chacko. All are open letters and therefore all are intended for a wide readership. Be in no doubt, nothing is published by The Westminster Tradition without Elijah Chacko’s endorsement of the contents. Another benefit of this approach is that it is not a dry and detached study of his doctrines, but is illustrated by real events and actions. Judge the tree by his fruits. Finally, the separation in 2018 divided parties into two quite distinct groups: those who are for Elijah Chacko (and by proxy, Haziel Qi), and those who are against him. This polarisation forced the protagonists to present their sides of the argument with vigour and clarity.
The contents of this website are arranged as simply as possible into the following categories:
1. Separation Letters
These are written against Elijah Chacko and lay out clearly why the authors (whether churches or individuals) have separated from his ministry. The first and foremost is that written by representatives of the ‘Church of Judah’ (18th Sept 2018) i.e. those in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia (a province of China). This is where I recommend my readers begin [click here]. The letter is well structured and makes five accusations:
(a) Chacko publicly supports Haziel to cause schism in the church, confusing truth and falsehood, without any fairness and justice.
(b) Chacko trespasses the Congregational Church Polity and the principle of Tripartite System; he rules as a tyrant in the church of God.
(c) Chacko proclaims his identity as the Elijah of the last days, who is specially anointed for the special mandate committed to him.
(d) Chacko utilises the platform of NJT (also called The Jerusalem Times previously) as a means of propaganda and control of the church, to brainwash the congregations.
(e) Apostasy brings about corrupted living and moral turpitude [then follows an accusation of sexual impropriety between Elijah and a sister who is not his wife].
On 1st Aug 2019, after a silence of about a yearr, the two missionaries (Joel Chia and Jeshaiah Lim) who had formerly represented The Westminster Tradition in China released the first part of their open letter, exposing Elijah’s false gospel. This is the single most important document on this website and is intended for those who are or have been members of The Westminster Tradition (click here).
2. Rebuttals
For ease of nomenclature, I have titled those letters written in support of Elijah Chacko as ‘rebuttals’ and those against Elijah Chacko as ‘refutations’. Please let the reader note that the first series of rebuttals are actually found on the ‘Church of Judah’ separation letter page. This is because the first four rebuttals are made by those within the China churches who remained within Elijah Chacko’s ministry. I felt it necessary to place their remonstrances directly after the separation letter of the ‘Church of Judah’. The other rebuttals written by international members and representatives of The Westminster Tradition are found as a sub-menu: Separation Letters > ‘Church of Judah’ > Rebuttals.
3. Testimonials (pending)
These are direct named witness accounts of what the authors have seen, heard and experienced as former members of The Westminster Tradition. They provide shocking but authoritative insights into areas which are hidden from the public eye and which would shock the majority of people within The Westminster Tradition. Those who give their testimony will doubtless be called liars. Therefore the principle should be borne in mind that doctrine begets practice. If the doctrine is evil, the fruit of that doctrine will also prove to be evil. Vice versa, where abuses and immorality exist, one should expect to find the doctrine either perversion or neglect of doctrine. Therefore, their testimonies should be taken hand in hand with the doctrinal portions of this website.
4. Publications
This is where most of the articles published by The Westminster Tradition are posted. A few articles go into ‘News Updates’. Some of the publications have an accompanying commentary and some are so obviously heretical that no comments are required. Whilst publications have been carefully chosen to illustrate wherein The Westminster Tradition errs, the moderator of this website has not chosen deliberately unrepresentative pieces. His aim is not to pick on one or two poorly phrased sentences, but to draw the readers attention to features which pervade The Westminster Tradition and make up the very warp and woof of the ministry. Elijah Chacko rightly teaches that doctrine begets practice. Therefore, when the doctrine is unpicked, it is not difficult to shift our gaze from the decaying branch to the rotten and stinking fruit hanging forlornly from it. For ‘a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit (Matt 7:17b).’
6. News Updates
This section contains articles which don’t naturally fit anywhere else on the website. Announcements are also likely to be found here.
7. 10 Questions
Let these be a simple test as to the orthodoxy of The Westminster Tradition. Question any representative of The Westminster Tradition closely on these points and it is the author’s opinion that their doctrine will unravel.
‘I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted (Rev 2:2-3).’
