The Proaño Family Separate

Sofonias, it is with great sorrow that we write to you this sad letter! We treasured you as a person and a servant of God, but unfortunately after investigating deeply and after reading many of the New Jerusalem Times reports we have come to the conclusion that you are in a cult. Therefore we are NOT willing to promote the doctrines of The Westminster Tradition and these are the main reasons:

1. IT IS A SECRET CULT that provokes the exaltation of a man, Elijah Thomas Chacko, instead of exalting the only One Who deserves all exaltation, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Malachi 2v2: If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give GLORY UNTO MY NAME [not to Elijah Thomas Chacko], saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

2. FALSE TEACHING. We will not be able to serve with you any longer because you tried to bring to our family and church ANOTHER GOSPEL. You had a hidden agenda with the ultimate goal being to present your mentor as the “anointed”. Now that we know the truth, we will not allow this heresy to continue to spread, instead we will denounce it and alert other churches to this cult.

Galatians 1v9: As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

3. LACK OF INTEGRITY. When we heard the interview of you speaking with the Mexican Pastor, we realized that you are a person who plays with lies. You give half truths according to your convenience – so you have lost all credibility!

2 Corithians 4v2: Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.’

4. YOU BROUGHT CONFUSION AND MADE MANY OF GOD’S PEOPLE TO STUMBLE. You used the reformed doctrines to try to deceive even God’s elect. You will have to give an account to God for discouraging and being a stumble block to many believers.

Malachi 2v7-9: For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways…

We pray that God bring you to repentance, and that one day you can return to the simple faith in our Lord Jesus. Please run to the Lord – don’t turn to anyone else! We pray that our Lord will deliver you from the fallacy into which Elijah Chacko has brought you captive! We trust our Lord is powerful to deliver you from this evil persuasion…. if you will only cry to God for help! In the love of our Lord Jesus we ask you: please repent and you will find grace and mercy!
