A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity… Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil (1 Tim 3:2-4,6-7)

 

 

It is the strong conviction of the author that by the criteria given above, Elijah Thomas Chacko was morally unfit to be an elder (bishop). If so, it would be ridiculous to believe that he was nevertheless the last prophet sent to announce Christ’s return and ‘restore all things’ (even were there a sound scriptural basis for such an apocalyptic identity). In principle, Elijah Chacko should have been subject to internal hearings and disciplinary procedures in accordance with Matt 18:15-17 and 1 Tim 5:19-20. As Elijah Chacko raised himself above all discipline and censure and since his elders lacked the will and power to impose such proceedings, those who long witnessed his behaviour and doctrine must use other means to bring forward their testimony. Therefore, in this section the testimony of named eye-witnesses is published. Since Elijah Chacko claimed The Westminster Tradition as his ministry alone, he alone will be scrutinised. Others might be mentioned only insofar as they have been his mouth, eyes, ears, hands and feet i.e. implicated themselves. The testimonials for or against him may be in written, audio or video format, but nothing will be published unless the witness is willing to identify themselves, for it would be unfair not to know who his accusers are. Provided the testimonials pass factual cross-checks and are relevant to the accusations made in the separation letters and refutations, they will be considered for publication in this section of the website.
